S’funny, back in the day when I used to read lots of superhero comics, I was more of a “Marvel guy” than a ‘DC guy” and mostly read Marvel comics, but I rarely draw any Marvel characters. Whenever I do doodle any superheroes, they usually wind up being DC characters. Don’t know why that is… Maybe DC characters are just more iconic? (Or maybe they just have costumes that are easier to remember?)
In any event, Black Widow here is a Marvel character. I tried to play up the 1960′s “mod,” Emma Peel, aspects of her outfit. Don’t know if I succeeded at that but I think the drawing’s half-decent at least.
Since the writers of City of Spies were unable to make it to the May 1st event we’re having another release party. It’ll be held on Thursday June 3rd, from 7-9pm at the MoCCA Museum in Manhattan.
Books will be signed, drinks will be served, and fun will be had. All are welcome, so if you’re around and have nothing to do on June 3rd, swing on by.
